Dethatching

Dethatching removes the layer of dead grass, leaves and pine needles that accumulate on the soil

Dethatching is one of the best things you can do to improve the total health of your lawn. By removing the layer of thatch from the soil it will enable your lawn to take in more oxygen, nutrients from fertilizer and improve irrigation efficiency. This results in a thicker, more dense and healthy lawn that will require far less water and fertilizer to look its best. We recommend doing it every 1 – 3 years depending on what kind and how many trees you have in your yard. If you don’t have any trees you can get away with doing it every few years. Lawn dethatching is best performed during the cooler temps of Spring and Fall in Bend, Oregon.
